The EMD in Ogbomosho, Nigeria is being installed

OCTOBER 10TH, 2015

This month Green started to install its first EMD in Nigeria. The project is located in the city of Ogbomosho and when ready will be able to produce more than 1.000 liters of ethanol per day, using cassava as the main source material. The EMD will generate many new job posts for locals. It will also create a steady demand for local agricultural crops, promoting the sustainable rural development of Nigeria.

The project designed by green is a partnership with the National Biotechnology Development Agency of Nigeria (NABDA). Employing the most modern technologies of no cook enzymes the process of ehtanol production will be extremely cost and energy efficient. After the phase of installation is complete, Green will also carry on a series of training sessions and workshops, in order to build local capacity for technicians and managers who will keep operating the EMD. Accordingly, the EMD is expected to be ready and fully operating by the end of this month.
