What if beyond producing biofuels we could use them to generate clean, steady and efficient electrical power? With Green’s partner’s ethanol generator it becomes possible to have access to a continuous supply of electricity even in the most remote villages.
What is Green’s secret? How do we make sure our projects are accurately implemented all over the world? Here at green we work with the right partners to implement enduring systems worldwide, promoting autonomy and generating happy communities..
A very simple, one stage saccharification and fermentation process. Green proposes the easiest and most efficient way to produce ethanol in small scale by using innovative enzymes and yeasts.
Green’s core business is to design and produce Ethanol Micro-Distilleries – EMDs that process several varieties of agricultural crops into bioethanol, a clean and renewable fuel.
The conversion process of sucrose or starch into bioethanol is obtained through a high efficiency method, in a sequence of very simple steps. The EMD is designed to be small-scaled and easy to operate , which enables its use in rural and peri-urban communities, bringing energy autonomy to its people.
The heart of the technology is the distillation module boo-casino-win.com, a modular equipment for small scale bioethanol production. It works on continuous system and produces from 95º up to 99,5º GL bioethanol (hydrous/anhydrous) at different capacities, ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 liters per day plants, according to each site and client’s demand.
Green's Bioethanol can be produced from many different feedstocks such as: cassava, sweet potato, sugarcane, sweet sorghum, among others. It can also be made from byproducts of other production processes, such as molasses, manipueira (substance derived from the pressing of cassava). One plant, multiple feedstocks.
Green’s Ethanol Micro-Distillery is unique in its assets because it is part of a broader integrated system, specially designed to arrange all necessary equipment around one sole production process. It has a robust structure, ensuring a low maintenance cost and it is very easy to operate. Our columns are “super flex”, which means one can process several different kinds of natural resources in the same distillation column, assuring a continuous yielding of ethanol. Besides, the production of social bioethanol aims at generating positive social and economic impact for the surrounding community where the plant is installed.
Each plant installed by Green is a unique project, designed and adapted to meet local demands and specifications. Green's EMD special "farm-scalled" size guarantees that it can be assembled anywhere. Due to that, installation costs and time are shortened. Average time for installation, including training, takes no longer than 1 month.
The EMD technology was developed by Green Social engineering team and it is constantly being innovated. Some of our unique features are: New distillation column’s design; Explosion-proof pumps; Digital control panel; Sensors for temperature; Flow meters; Fusel oil removal; Thermal efficient flow design.
Nowadays electricity is essential to almost every activity in our lives. Could you imagine how to live without being able to turn the lights on at night? Or without being able to store any food in the refrigerator? Electricity is a central aspect in improving life quality. In spite of that, according to the UN, more than 1.2 billion people worldwide lack the access to electricity and 1 billion more have access only to unreliable electricity networks.
Given the challenges our society faces, we must assure that this energy is generated with the most sustainable and non-pollutant processes.
Green is taking its part in the essentiai process of increasing electrical energy access for those that have limited or no access at all to energy services. We achieve that by providing a sustainable biofuel that can be used, among other things, to generate clean electrical power even in the most remote communities.
Green’s Bioethanol can be used as a source for energy generation in innovative ethanol-powered generators. It replaces the use of diesel, an extremely pollutant fossil fuel. The environmental benefits are huge, given that it reduces polluting gas emissions by almost 70%.
Ethanol-powered generators can be produced for generating electricity at several capacities, from 10 to 300 KVA. They produce 220/380V three-phase electricity, and are covered with sound-proof cabin. Besides providing electricity for the whole Ethanol Micro Distillery, these generators also have spare KVA’s for other purposes, such as electrification of communities and its small industries.
One of our secrets rests upon the connections we keep with our global network of carrying, trustful partners. We know that there are many concerned people investing their time and energy in developing new, modern and sustainable technologies. Bringing these people and the product of their life-work together is part of our job. We create the bridges over which these diverse range of people and companies can communicate and work with each other.
We keep contact with local stakeholders, international investors and multinational suppliers, in order to deliver the best system for generating bioethanol anywhere in the world. Some of our partners with whom we have worked before are the Project Gaia for Clean CookStoves and the National Bioethecnology Development Agency - NABDA of Nigeria. We actively pursue the formation of new ties. Would you like to work alongside us?
Nowadays is very common for people to buy a new equipment and have to get rid of it in less than five years because it worns out. Many companies are not concerned in developing resistant products, aiming to cut costs and transferring to the consumer the burden of paying for a weak, disposable good.
We at Green do not share this mentality. Instead, we perceive our technology as a long-lasting investment.
We make sure to build up the most robust and enduring structure, delivering Ethanol Micro-Distilleries which remain efficiently operating for at least 30 years after their implementation. Our customers can rest assured their investment was rightly done. Knowing they can trust in the quality of Green’s technology, buyers become partners, and our ties get stronger.
Green’s model of business enables customers to gain autonomy and efficiently operate EMD’s technology. We do not only sell our EMD. We provide training to locals who will manage and work with the EMD, building capacity within the community. This set of steps assures the EMD will be safely operated and that the greatest benefits will result from its use.
Green’s EMD equipment was especially designed so no appliance has to be replaced. Due to our best practices, in case basic repairs are needed, the operator can easily fix it on its own, without the need of calling us for help. Routine maintenance care is little, requiring mainly usual precaution, for instance with oil and straps.
At a skype call distance, Green also offers permanent customer support to all of its clients. If needed, you can reach us from anywhere in the world and we will be well prepared for applying our troubleshooting techniques in order to solve eventual faults with the system. We provide support via e-mail, telephone, throughout a network of local suppliers or carrying in-situ assistance if needed..
At the end of the day, what really matters to us is the genuine smile of people affected by our work. For instance, in Nigeria, we have heard joyful women saying how much they now appreciate the activity of cooking, because Green’s bioethanol provided them with clean fuel to light up their cookstoves. This is the kind of reward we most appreciate, the result our work has been properly done.
Green process is very innovative. Besides traditional sucrose fermentation, starch-based feedstocks can go through our Simultaneous Saccharification and Fermentation (SSF) process. In SSF, the enzyme breaks the starch into sucrose at the same time the yeast is already fermenting and transforming this sucrose in ethanol . And it all happens inside the same tank even below 30ºC!
In Green's EMD, raw starch is processed by adding a innovative set of enzyme and yeast that can work from 28°C to up to 42°C. This new enzyme removes the need for a cook step, leading to energy savings and higher yields. Green’s technology has made possible to produce ethanol from high starch content crops, assuring the environmental and economic sustainability of the process.
Green Social technology assures a positive energy balance during all its processes for producing ethanol. Energy Returned on Energy Invested (EROEI) refers to the ratio between energy delivered to the amount of energy used to obtain that energy resource. Because we use the most modern technologies in our low temperature processes, Green's EROEI is above 4:1.
